This French Village Beaches Turks and Caicos guide is what we send clients when they ask what “French Village” actually means on a Beaches booking. The short answer: it’s one of the resort’s villages, home to the concierge suites in the Bordeaux and Cannes buildings, a pool served by its own swim-up and stand-up bar, two reservation-only dinner restaurants, and all of the resort’s pickleball courts plus two of its three tennis courts.
What the French Village actually contains
In our experience helping families book Beaches Turks and Caicos, the first thing to clear up is what the French Village holds and what it doesn’t. The resort fact sheet names two buildings specifically — Bordeaux and Cannes — which house the one-, two-, and three-bedroom Concierge suites. The base Luxury rooms are spread across “all buildings of the French Village,” with a separate Luxury Walkout category on the first floor.
Village-adjacent amenities that show up in the fact sheet:
- The French Village Pool with Riviera Bar (swim-up and stand-up).
- Kimonos, the resort’s Japanese teppanyaki restaurant.
- Le Petit Château, the adults-12-and-up French dinner restaurant.
- Le Bar de Musique, inside Le Petit Château.
- Kimonos Bar, at Kimonos.
- Eight pickleball courts and two tennis courts — the bulk of the resort’s racket-sport footprint.

French Village room categories
Here are the representative French Village room codes straight from the resort fact sheet. These are the categories you’ll actually see on a quote.
| Code | Category | Sleeps | Where in the village |
|---|---|---|---|
| FD / FK | French Village Luxury Room | 4 | All French Village buildings, 2nd & 3rd floor; French balconettes (no walkout) |
| FWD / FWK | French Village Luxury Walkout Room | 4 | 1st floor of the French Village’s main building |
| FWKA | French Village Accessible Luxury Walkout Room | 4 | 1st floor |
| F1 | French Village One Bedroom Concierge Suite | 7 | Bordeaux & Cannes, 1st & 3rd floors |
| F2 | French Village Two Bedroom Concierge Suite | 11 | Bordeaux & Cannes, 1st & 3rd floors |
| F3 | French Village Three Bedroom Concierge Suite | 14 | Bordeaux & Cannes, 1st & 3rd floors |
A few things worth flagging for clients: the FD/FK Luxury rooms have French balconettes rather than walkout patios; if you want to step straight outside, you want FWD/FWK (or FWKA for accessible). The Concierge tier (F1, F2, F3) adds preferred check-in, champagne on arrival, an in-suite stocked bar, and robes under the Suite Concierge Program.
One important note: none of the French Village categories are Butler Elite. If you specifically want a dedicated butler, we’ll point you to Italian Village, Key West Village villas, or Treasure Beach categories instead. See our full Beaches room categories guide for that comparison.
French Village pool, bars, and restaurants
The French Village Pool is served by Riviera Bar, which the fact sheet lists as both a swim-up and a stand-up bar, running 10:00am to 6:00pm. On the dining side, the village is home to two of the resort’s reservation-only dinner restaurants:
- Kimonos — Japanese teppanyaki; dinner 5:00pm–9:00pm; reservations required; resort evening attire.
- Le Petit Château — classic French; dinner 6:00pm–9:30pm; reservations required; age 12 and over only; resort evening attire.
The French Village also holds two bars beyond the pool: Le Bar de Musique inside Le Petit Château (5:30pm–11:00pm) and Kimonos Bar at Kimonos (5:00pm–11:00pm).
Two practical notes for clients. First, “resort evening attire” at Kimonos and Le Petit Château excludes shorts, t-shirts, sleeveless shirts, sneakers, flip-flops, slippers, hats, and caps — so pack accordingly. Second, Le Petit Château’s 12-and-over rule is real; this is not a kids-welcome room. Book a sitter through Camp Sesame or Kids Camp and make it a date night.
Pickleball and tennis at the French Village
If racket sports are on the agenda, this is the biggest single reason to consider the French Village. Per the resort fact sheet, eight pickleball courts and two tennis courts are in the French Village; the third tennis court on property is in the Key West Village. Tennis, pickleball, and the resort’s full land-sports list — basketball, volleyball, croquet, shuffleboard, billiards, table tennis, chess, and board games — are included in the all-inclusive rate.
We don’t get walk-time data in the fact sheet, so we won’t promise “steps from the courts.” What we can say: if you’re staying in the French Village, the courts are in your village.
Who the French Village is best for
Based strictly on what the fact sheet supports, here’s who we tend to book into the French Village:
- Pickleball and tennis families — the majority of the resort’s racket-sport courts are in this village.
- Multigenerational groups who need space — the F2 and F3 Concierge Suites sleep 11 and 14 respectively, with one- and two-bedroom options at F1 (sleeps 7).
- Couples and smaller families on the Luxury tier — the FD/FK Luxury Room sleeps four, with Luxury Walkout (FWD/FWK) available on the first floor.
- Adults planning a night out — Le Petit Château’s 12-and-over policy is right in the village, with Le Bar de Musique next door for after-dinner drinks.
Who the French Village is not the right fit for: guests who want a dedicated personal butler in the room. French Village categories are Luxury and Concierge only — no Butler Elite. And because we don’t have a sourced claim for which village sits closest to the beach or waterpark, we’ll never pitch it that way; we’ll describe what’s in the village and let you decide from there.
