What’s Included (and Not Included) at Beaches Resorts

Clients ask us constantly: what’s included at Beaches Resorts, and what’s going to hit the credit card once they’re there? Short version: the room, every meal and drink, the waterpark, Kids Camp, tips, taxes, and roundtrip airport transfers are all covered for every guest on the reservation. The extras are mostly optional — spa, off-resort excursions, private romantic dinners, photo sessions. Here’s the full picture so you can budget before you fly.

Eat and drink: what’s included at Beaches Resorts

Food and drink is where the all-inclusive model earns its keep for families. Both Beaches properties include unlimited dining, unlimited premium liquors, and an in-room stocked bar in every Concierge and Butler-tier room.

The scale varies significantly by resort:

  • Beaches Turks & Caicos: 23 restaurants featuring global flavors, plus 3 food trucks. 14 bars including swim-up bars at multiple pools.
  • Beaches Negril: unlimited dining at 13 restaurants, plus a frozen-yogurt counter and food trucks. 5 bars including a swim-up bar.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and anytime snacks are all covered. Robert Mondavi Twin Oaks wines are poured free in six varietals: Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Shiraz. Turks & Caicos runs a weekly late-night chocolate buffet with handmade chocolates and martinis.

One easy miss: room service is only for Butler-serviced accommodations, 24 hours a day, at both resorts. Luxury and Concierge guests head to the restaurants or food trucks instead.

A handful of specialty restaurants require reservations: Kimonos, Le Petit Château (age 12+), and Butch’s Island Chophouse at Turks & Caicos; Kimonos, Stella, and Yaku at Negril. The two French-village dining rooms at Turks & Caicos enforce “resort evening attire” — no shorts, t-shirts, sneakers, or flip-flops. Negril’s entire dining lineup is resort casual.

Play: watersports, the waterpark, and kids programs

This is the category where the two resorts diverge most. Both include Pirates Island Waterpark, but they are not the same experience.

  • Beaches Turks & Caicos: a 45,000 sq ft waterpark with 9 slides, a surf simulator, lazy river, water cannons, cranks, and spray features. Open daily 7:00am–9:00pm.
  • Beaches Negril: a 3,962 sq ft waterpark — about one-eleventh the footprint — with 2 main slides (204 ft each, 42″ height requirement), smaller slides for ages 2–4 and 4–6, a splash deck with pirate bucket drops, and a 92-ft lazy river. Open daily 10:00am–6:00pm.

Watersports included at both resorts (with equipment and professional instruction): kayaks, paddleboards, Hobie Cats, snorkeling, windsurfing, and Underwater Vision boat rides. Negril additionally includes water-skiing, wakeboarding, knee boarding, and banana boats in the base all-inclusive — Turks & Caicos doesn’t list those motorized sports as included.

Scuba diving is unlimited for certified divers at both resorts. Land sports include tennis, pickleball, basketball, beach and pool volleyball, billiards, table tennis, shuffleboard, croquet, and indoor/outdoor chess. Turks & Caicos has 8 pickleball courts and 2 tennis courts in the French Village, plus an additional tennis court in Key West Village. Both resorts include a state-of-the-art fitness center — Negril’s is open 24 hours.

On the family side, Kids Camp is included with certified nannies who are members of the International Nanny Association. So is daily and nighttime entertainment, live shows, and the Caribbean Adventure with Sesame Street programming — parades, stage shows, and character meet-ups.

No-worries inclusions: transfers, Wi-Fi, tips, and autism certification

This is the short list that quietly saves families real money versus a standard hotel:

  • All tips, taxes, and gratuities on food, drinks, and service at the resort.
  • Roundtrip airport transfers for every guest, regardless of room category. From Providenciales (PLS) it’s roughly 6 miles and 15–20 minutes. From Montego Bay (MBJ) it’s approximately 50 miles / 75–80 km over Jamaican mountain roads — a scenic drive, not a quick hop. Transfers are shared motorcoach-style; private transfers are a paid upgrade through Island Routes.
  • Free resort-wide Wi-Fi, in rooms and in common areas. A faster premium tier is available at cost.
  • Certified Autism Centers. All Beaches Resorts are Certified Autism Centers, and team members have completed “Sesame Street and Autism: See Amazing in All Children” sensitization training since 2016.

What’s NOT included — budget for these

Here’s what clients ask us about most often when planning the wallet side of the trip. None of it is required; all of it is optional.

  • Red Lane Spa treatments. Massages, facials, and body work are extra. Spa hours run 8:00am–10:00pm at Turks & Caicos and 8:00am–7:00pm at Negril.
  • Scuba certification courses. Unlimited diving is free for already-certified divers, but the full PADI Open Water certification costs extra. So does PADI Discover Scuba for first-timers — described as a “nominal fee” on the fact sheet.
  • Kids scuba programs. PADI Bubblemaker (ages 8+) and PADI Seal Team are additional cost at both resorts.
  • Private airport transfers via Island Routes — an upgrade from the free shared transfers.
  • Premium Wi-Fi. Basic is free; the faster tier is a paid upgrade.
  • Off-resort excursions through Island Routes — catamaran cruises, snorkel tours, ATV rides, and the rest.
  • Private candlelight dinners, anniversary packages, birthday celebrations, and Sesame Street private birthday parties — booked through the resort Sales Office for a fee.
  • Epix Studio professional photography sessions. Negril also offers an All-Access 15-minute Sesame Street photo shoot at extra cost.
  • Colombian Emeralds International and other on-property retail.
  • Doctor visits. A nurse is available free (24/7 at Negril; 8am–10pm at Turks & Caicos); a doctor call-out is an additional cost.
  • Private nanny sitting — hourly, on top of the free group Kids Camp. At Negril, hourly rates increase after 11:00pm.
  • Beach cabana rentals at Negril (Cabana Concierge service).

The no-tipping policy has named exceptions

Beaches advertises a no-tipping policy, and for most guests and most staff it really does hold — gratuities for food, drinks, and general service are built into your rate. But the fact sheets name specific exceptions: butlers and Red Lane Spa therapists are tipped at both resorts, and Negril explicitly adds cabana concierges and private airport transfer drivers to that list. We tell Butler Elite clients to plan a daily butler gratuity into their vacation budget. The resort doesn’t set the amount, and we won’t invent one — just don’t let it be a surprise.
