Beaches Resorts’ Billion Dollar Expansion

Beaches Turks & Caicos

Beaches Resorts is making a massive bet on the future of family travel.

In one of the biggest announcements the brand has made in years, Beaches revealed plans to invest nearly $1 billion to expand its family-focused all-inclusive footprint across the Caribbean. That includes three new resorts on three different islands, along with major growth at one of its most popular existing properties.

For families who love all-inclusive vacations, this is a huge deal.

Beaches has long stood out as one of the top brands for Caribbean family travel, combining beautiful beachfront resorts with waterparks, kids programming, Sesame Street experiences, and multi-bedroom accommodations that actually work for larger families. Now, the brand is preparing for its next chapter in a very big way.

Beaches Is Doubling Down on Family Travel

According to Beaches Resorts, the company plans to double its footprint within the next five years. That kind of growth shows just how much demand there is for premium, all-inclusive vacations built specifically for families and multi-generational groups.

The expansion includes Beaches Barbados, Beaches Exuma, Beaches Runaway Bay, and a major new Treasure Beach Village at Beaches Turks and Caicos.

It also builds on recent additions at Beaches Negril, where the brand has already expanded with new high-end villa and penthouse accommodations.

Beaches Barbados Will Bring the Brand to a New Island

One of the most exciting developments is Beaches Barbados, which will mark the brand’s debut in Barbados.

Planned to break ground in late 2025, the resort will feature 600 rooms, ranging from king suites and two-queen room layouts to nearly 3,000-square-foot four-bedroom suites with private oceanfront balconies. Beaches says the resort will be designed in Bajan Style and will include a standout Main Street concept — a lively central area with dining, shopping, performance spaces, a sports bar, and arcade-style family entertainment.

For families considering Barbados, this could become one of the most exciting new all-inclusive options in the Caribbean.

Beaches Exuma Brings the Brand to The Bahamas

Beaches is also planning its first-ever resort in The Bahamas with Beaches Exuma.

Set on 500 acres in the Out Islands, the property will be created through the transformation of Sandals Emerald Bay into a Beaches resort. The resort’s 249 keys will be reconfigured into a new mix of accommodations, including multi-bedroom villa suites for families.

Beaches says the new Exuma resort will include 12 restaurants, a Kids Camp, a signature splash park, a full-service Red Lane Spa, the brand’s Sesame Street partnership, and complimentary green fees at the Greg Norman-designed Emerald Bay Golf Course.

And of course, Exuma’s famous turquoise water will be a major part of the appeal.

Beaches Runaway Bay Adds Another Big Family Option in Jamaica

Jamaica is already home to Beaches resorts in Negril and Ocho Rios, and now the brand is adding another major project: Beaches Runaway Bay.

Located between Ocho Rios and Montego Bay on Jamaica’s North Coast, the resort is expected to feature around 400 one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom suites and villas, all designed with extended families in mind.

What makes Runaway Bay especially interesting is the focus on outdoor activities and family-friendly recreation. Beaches says guests can expect dedicated wellness areas, skateboarding, bike trails, a climbable treehouse, access to Runaway Bay Golf Club, and organic farm-to-table dining.

It sounds like Beaches is leaning into a more active, adventure-driven version of the family all-inclusive experience here.

Beaches Turks and Caicos Is Getting Even Bigger

As if three new resorts weren’t enough, Beaches is also expanding one of its flagship properties.

The new Treasure Beach Village at Beaches Turks and Caicos is now accepting reservations and will add 101 new suite-only accommodations, including large four-bedroom beachfront villas for groups of up to 10 guests. The addition will bring the resort to 858 total keys across six villages.

The expansion will also include the brand’s first-ever food hall with a wide range of international dining options, along with Butch’s Island Chophouse, a favorite from the Sandals side of the business.

For families who already love Beaches Turks and Caicos, this is a major upgrade.

Beaches Negril Has Already Raised the Bar

The expansion news also comes shortly after Beaches added new luxury accommodations at Beaches Negril.

These include the new Firesky Reserve Villas, which feature four bedrooms, private pools, and room for up to 10 guests, along with the Eventide Penthouse Collection, which can host up to 18 guests and includes rooftop terrace access.

That gives a pretty clear picture of where the brand is heading: bigger accommodations, more multi-generational travel options, and more ways for families to travel together without giving up comfort or convenience.

Why This Matters for Families

This isn’t just a hotel expansion story. It’s a signal that Beaches sees family travel getting bigger, more premium, and more group-oriented.

Adam Stewart, Executive Chairman of Beaches Resorts, said the brand’s growth strategy is rooted in what guests want most right now: more time together and more meaningful multi-generational vacations.

That lines up with what many families are looking for today: more space, easier travel planning, better built-in entertainment for kids, more options for grandparents, cousins, and larger groups, and resorts that feel special enough to justify a big family trip.

Beaches appears to be investing heavily in exactly that.

The Bottom Line

Beaches Resorts is not making a small move. With nearly $1 billion in planned investment, three new resorts, and major expansions to existing favorites, the brand is clearly trying to shape the future of Caribbean family vacations.

For TravelFam readers, that means more to watch, more to get excited about, and soon, a lot more Beaches options for unforgettable family vacations.
