Negril or Runaway Bay — which Beaches resort is right for our family?
Negril is bigger, beachier and right on Seven Mile Beach — it's the better pick if you want lively pools, sunset bars, and a long beach to walk. Runaway Bay (returning soon) is smaller and more contained, set on a calm bay — easier with toddlers and stroller-friendly. Both are all-inclusive and both run the full Beaches kids' program.
How do we fly to Beaches in Jamaica?
Fly into Montego Bay (MBJ) — every major US carrier flies there. Negril is about 90 minutes by road, Runaway Bay about 60. Round-trip transfers are included in your all-inclusive rate.
Is the area around Beaches Negril safe?
Yes — both Beaches resorts are gated, fully staffed and monitored. Inside the resort and on the resort beach you have the run of the place. If you want to leave the resort to explore, we always recommend booking a guided excursion through the resort concierge rather than wandering on your own; that's standard advice for any Caribbean resort.
What ages do the kids' clubs run?
0–17, split into age-graded programs. Nursery for infants (paid extra in some cases), Sesame Street toddler programs, junior camps, tweens, and a teen lounge for older kids. Standard across all Beaches resorts.
