Beaches Turks & Caicos

The Key West Village at Beaches Turks and Caicos (Review)

If you’re deciding where to stay at Beaches Turks & Caicos and wondering whether the Key West Village at Beaches Turks and Caicos is the right fit, this is the advisor’s-eye view. In our experience helping families book this resort, Key West is where guests land when they want space, multi-bedroom villas, and the resort’s highest concentration of butler suites. Here’s how the village is laid out, which rooms live in it, what’s nearby, and who we recommend it to.

What the Key West Village at Beaches Turks and Caicos actually is

Beaches Turks & Caicos is organized into five villages, and Key West is one of them. Structurally, Key West is split into two sides — East Village and West Village — and it also includes a separate building called the Veranda House. That matters when you’re picking a room, because category codes map to those sub-areas.

A few anchor facts worth knowing before you book:

  • Key West Village contains the resort’s highest concentration of Butler-category villas, including 3- and 4-bedroom Butler Villas.
  • Bayside Bar is located in the Key West Village, open 10:00am–1:00am.
  • Camp Sesame — the nursery program for ages 0–11 months, 12–24 months, and 3–4 years — has a location in Key West Village, in addition to Caribbean Village.
  • The resort’s second daily orientation is held at 4:00pm from the Key West Library (the first is at 9:00am from the Caribbean Village Lobby).
  • One tennis court is located in the Key West Village.
  • The Key West Conference Room — 1,248 sq ft with a 715 sq ft pre-function area — is in the East Village of Key West.

Butler villas with private plunge pools

The headline category in Key West is the Key West Beachfront Four Bedroom Butler Villa Residence with Private Pool — code 4VP. These are three-story individual homes directly on the beach, with a private plunge pool, sleeping up to 10. The 4VO is a similar three-story, four-bedroom layout with an oceanview placement, and the 3VO is the three-bedroom, three-story oceanview butler villa for up to 8.

The garden-view siblings — 4VB (4-bedroom) and 3KB (3-bedroom) — give you the same villa footprint at a lower tier. Across all butler categories, the Beaches Butler Elite program applies: a dedicated personal butler, an in-suite bar stocked with scotch, gin, vodka, rum, beer, red and white wine, champagne, soft drinks, juices, and water, champagne on arrival, preferred check-in, and — on select Butler Elite categories — complimentary private airport transfers. Room service is available 24 hours, but only in Butler-serviced accommodations. Butlers and spa therapists are the only exceptions to the resort’s no-tipping policy.

Dining and bars in and around Key West Village

The bar listed as located in the Key West Village is Bayside Bar, open 10:00am–1:00am. For restaurants, all of the resort’s 23 restaurants and 3 food trucks are available to Key West guests regardless of where they’re staying. A handful clients ask us about most often:

  • Bayside — main resort buffet; breakfast 7:00am–10:30am, lunch 12:00pm–3:00pm, dinner 5:30pm–9:30pm; resort casual.
  • Schooners — Bahamian / Turks seafood in the Seaside Village; breakfast 7:30am–11:00am and dinner 5:30pm–9:30pm, evening attire at dinner.
  • Barefoot by the Sea — create-your-own seafood on the beach; breakfast 7:30am–10:30am, lunch 12:30pm–2:30pm, dinner 6:00pm–9:30pm (bare feet permitted).
  • Le Petit Château — classic French in the French Village; dinner 6:00pm–9:30pm, evening attire, age 12+, reservations required.
  • Kimonos — Japanese teppanyaki in the French Village; dinner 5:00pm–9:00pm, evening attire, reservations required.

The resort-wide bar count is 14, including swim-up bars. In butler villas, in-suite bars are stocked with liquor, beer, wine, champagne, soft drinks, juices, and water as part of the Suite Concierge / Butler Elite programs.

Pools, kids, and activities tied to Key West

The waterpark itself is located at the Italian Village per the resort bar list — see our waterpark guide for how it’s laid out.

A few Key West-specific notes for families:

  • Camp Sesame (ages 0–11 months, 12–24 months, 3–4 years) has a Key West Village location, in addition to Caribbean Village. It includes an air-conditioned building, cribs, a children’s swimming pool with canopy, a separate play area, a playground, and arts & crafts.

Who we book into Key West Village

This is the village we point families toward when the setup looks like:

  • Multi-generational groups or two-family bookings that need 3- or 4-bedroom butler villas under one roof.
  • Guests who want a private plunge pool attached to their villa — specifically the 4VP beachfront category.
  • Families with very young kids who value having a Camp Sesame location in their village.
  • Small groups wanting meeting space — the Key West Conference Room is in East Village.

If you don’t need a multi-bedroom villa, smaller concierge suites in Key West — the one-bedroom 1BG, 1BO, and 1B2 categories in the Veranda House, and the CPG and DTG concierge rooms — work for couples or small families. Concierge categories include the Suite Concierge Program: Suite Concierge Center (7:00am–11:00pm), preferred check-in, champagne on arrival, an in-suite bar, and his/hers bathrobes.
